do you ever hear your family gossiping only to realize they’re talking about soap operas. it’s practically the same thing.
yes omg sometimes they’ll just converge in the living room and be like “pero alam na ni julia yung ginawa ng asawa niya” as if they’re talking about people they know and i’ll just shrug nonchalantly but then all of a sudden they’ll mention guns and kidnappings and people pretending to be who they’re not and i’ll be like “oh ok nvm this is from TFC”

ugh, right, if they had tumblrs they would be the type of fans who would make like ten oversaturated graphics every day and clutter the tags with their hate
aw i kinda wish i could be as open as them though! just a little bit? one time i made my mom watch the enterprise incident and she didn’t even enjoy it that much but she was still gasping and shrieking a little whereas it’s my favourite thing ever and the most i can muster are a few convoluted faces and incoherent vocalizations with my hand over my mouth
